I really thought I'd never find one that worked. Thanks for solving the L/R balance problem in the live feed from many years ago during Fantasy High: Sophomore Year lmao
i LOVE THIS EXTEntion
Genuinely free and doesn't track or abuse fine print
Works great on my Chromebook. I need a bit more balance influence in the adjustment. I need to be able to turn the right side nearly off and amplify the left more. I have an Ultimea Aura A30 surround sound system, and it doesn't have a balance control adjustment. On a surround sound system? Weirdest thing I ever heard. My room is set up in a way that the right surround speaker is much closer to my head and the left is quadruple that distance from my head. This is the only option I have for seating and speaker placement. Sooo, the result is; I only hear the right rear speaker, nothing else! (Including the front sound bar speakers.) When I disconnect the surround speaker's Bluetooth connection, your app works great, but add the surround and it works, it just doesn't give enough L/R separation and amplification necessary for my unique situation. I am bedridden and I really would like to find a solution if possible. Add a F/R fader and that would be money right there. Anyway, something to think about I suppose. As for this app; It works great and I would recommend it to a friend. After all, install it and try it. If it works, Great! If it doesn't, uninstall it. No harm, no foul!
It seems like it could be really good, but for one critical weakness compounded by another annoyance: On every single tab, you have to open the extension's dropdown before it actually affects the volume. And then, if you save your volume as anything other than 100%, and you've _already_ opened the dropdown, opening it a second time sets the normalized volume to 100%. At that point I might as well be just fixing the volume in-page every time. Also it's a bit odd that the "normalized" volume is still relative to the one set within the web page itself, and the hotkey to change volume changes the effective volume but not page's set volume nor the extension's volume (as shown by the UI's slider, at least). This is all on Vivaldi, which is chromium-based. Maybe it would work better in Chrome, but then I'd be using Chrome and that's a huge net negative. I'm keeping it around for now, hoping updates will address whatever bugs are blocking it from working automatically.
Perfect for being free and for what I needed. Normalization works beautifully and the sound doesnt get distorted with louder volume :D
Superb! Exactly what I needed for watching Batman TAS.
Good overall, the volume normalizer is the reason I used this and works great on podcasts and live streams where multiple people at different volumes make it hard to hear everything at a normal volume. However, the volume increase function constantly unapplies it self if the audio source is paused and a different tab or program is the focus. It still shows for example 125% when you press play again but it doesn't apply the volume increase again until you forcibly change it to 124% or 126% (or anything other that what it was before) then the volume increase works again. Hope it gets fixed!
