As well as being a great general purpose screen dimmer, Visor's overlays and point of focus feature may be assistive to users with visual perceptual difficulties such as Dyslexia, Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome and Visual Stress.
Whilst research shows results vary from person to person, some users may find that the use of overlays can help with fluency, eye-strain, concentration and comprehension whilst reading.
In addition to the traditional overlay method, Visor also employs a point of focus feature, designed to further reduce visual confusions and the tendency to skip lines.
This horizontal focal point tracks your mouse, giving full focus to the content being read, whilst reducing the visual noise of the surrounding page.

Good! It's work, very helpful to watch in night time. Can you add icon version in white line(white icon version) so it's showing in top bar when Chrome in dark theme? currently the icon pinned in top bar is black is too hard to see.
This i so helpful with reading articles! I was shocked to see you could play around with all the colors and sizes. (plus darkness.) but sadly, When you turn it darker the whole screen goes darker. i'd love for someone to add the feature where only the outside goes darker and where you put the visor stays lighter. all together this app is really well made!
Great extension, has helped me focus with reading my online textbooks and long articles so that I don't get distracted or lose my place as fast. However, a great number of what I need to read is on a PDF, which Visor doesn't work with at all, doesn't even turn on for me. Additionally, I wish there was a way for the center highlighted section to not also dim when you turn the extension on, since it makes it harder to read and strains my eyes. If these things were fixed, it'd be awesome and very useful, but unfortunately I don't see myself using it that often right now because of these features.
Really buggy, and not a great user interface either.

This would be great if the extension didn't also dim the highlighted section. disappointing as it could be a perfect alternative to the read & write screen masking tool otherwise...

¡Gran trabajo! es muy simple y me ayuda mucho en mis lecturas dentro de la web. Una pequeña petición sería que se mejore la compatibilidad con los PDF, en el modo de lectura normal y el de pantalla completa. Reitero las felicitaciones, necesitaba de una extensión como esta 😀.

Love the idea off this extension, let's you focus and reduces eye strain. How do you get it to work on pdfs? I tried to use visor to read an online pdf but the line doesn't seem to follow the cursor, just stays stuck in the middle?
