YouTube Study Mode

YouTube Study Mode is a privacy-first Chrome extension that turns YouTube into a focused study environment by running timed sessions that allow only search and watch pages while blocking distraction-heavy routes like Home and Shorts. On watch pages, it adds a right-side study panel with transcript cues and timestamped notes, lets users export notes as downloadable Markdown files, and keeps a session history of watched videos with collapsible note previews and per-video export. It supports pause/resume, extend, and end session controls, stores data locally in the browser, and does not require an account, analytics, or any backend service.
