Will, this just stopped working (last week)... I suspect and upgrade to GV. Could you check and fix? We love this tweak, and miss it dearly. thx
google voice, for almost a decade now i have used it. the web interface has remained abysmal and outdated for whatever reason. but this dev at least provided us all a glimmer of hope and usefulness with this great extension. the ability to see your unread count is unvaluable in your tabs. thanks for the work!
Does what it claims to do well. I was frankly surprised a notification icon was missing from the tab. Only suggestion would be to add a configuration to allow showing a simple red "dot" if there's any unread items (similar to Google Chat). It stands out much better.
This provides a Minor tweak. What i would really like to see is better "sync" between contacts, text messages and calls. IT is really choppy in the native GV interface. IT's like they are all separate and do not really work together as one. Would like to see the text/SMS/MMS functionality improved and work with contacts and call history, etc. IT is a very frustrating thing to find history of text messages for a contact - too many steps to get the full history when searching by name or by a keyword, etc. Probably the "BIG G" is going to let this die, along with many other features and tools, etc. It is an indication when they STOP improving and allow it to "degrade" instead of adding features or other enhancements. I wonder if it would work better on a Google phone...?
Does something. If I get 1 message from 1 number its counts as 1 on the counter. If I get more messages from the same number the counter just stays at 1 instead of counting up. Did not add counter to app version on taskbar. I use the install as chrome app function(upper right corner of address bar in google chrome when on the voice.google.com page). This installs google voice as an app to your PC. I was hoping this extension would put a counter on and highlight the windows taskbar icon. overall meh. Good idea. Pretty niche use, maybe hard to justify the work to make it do more.
Forcibly reloads my voice tab constantly - even if I'm on a call - which then gets disconnected. NOT GOOD!
Obsolete. Suspect it only worked with Legacy, which is now defunct. Does absolutely nothing anymore. No flags, no nothing.

Background refresh does not appear to work.
Works great and is useful since the hangouts shutdown. Developer updated app recently so some of the poor reviews don't apply anymore.
