not always work. 👎
Four longtime (year long?) occurring problems (Chrome OS, Android, Windows, used interchangeably): • When making an appointment or updating one and adding guests, one gets the possibility to NOT sending an e-mail. This does not work: emails are still sent, which is most annoying I use this to get the striped pattern of the appointment for "maybe attending", only possible when a guest is added, but do not want the addressee to know ... • The striped representation of the appointment is shown using Chrome OS and Windows (www?), but not on my phone (OnePlus since 8 Pro-now Pro 15, on Android 15-family). • An appointment in my mother tongue (Dutch) on www is not correctly translated to Android and vise versa: Input in Dutch shows English sequence (number street, without spaces) where Dutch should read street_number_postal code, so with spaces in between. This (also) ruins the possibilities to use Google Maps to show picture of the surroundings • An annoying habit is the automated translation of the name of my city-of-birth. The city is officially (all official records, such as birth certificate, passport, drivers licence, tax paper) called 's-Gravenhage (notice the "diacritics"), and in English sometime called Den Haag. Why correcting me, typing 's-Gravenhage (so starting with an apostrophe, a dash after the lower-case s and then a upper-case G) into Den Haag is beyond me and uncalled for, as I use it especially for official writing ... (FYI: Den Haag is, only in English the simplified name and means "The Hedge", whereas ´s-Gravenhage is the olden name still with a Second Case / Genitive / Possessive Case (like the second case in McDonald's): The Hedge of the Count (Graaf=Count, so The Count's Hedge.) Kindly: • stop sending e-mails for a shared-with-a-guest appointments when explicitly telling not to (or generate a possibility for "maybe" without a guest). • make the stripy look 'n' feel the same on all platforms. • dutch: street number, postal code, province, country is different from (US) English. • stop the annoying/un-necessary habit of automated translation of 's-Gravenhage into Den Haag in appointments. Questions (proficient in Dutch, English, French, German): you know my e-mail address ...
