**Gemini Live Text-to-Speech — лучшее, что было, но сейчас не работает** Оценка: 3/5 Это расширение когда-то было просто потрясающим — лучшим TTS-инструментом для Chrome, который я пробовал. Технология Gemini Live давала очень естественный и живой голос, особенно на русском, и удобно читала выделенный текст везде. Никакие другие расширения даже близко не стояли по качеству озвучки. К сожалению, уже 1–2 месяца расширение практически не работает. Оно «оживало» на пару недель, видимо, когда Google временно открывал доступ к старой версии API, но потом снова «умирало». Причина — расширение использует устаревшую версию Gemini Live TTS из Google AI Studio, а новая версия уже давно работает по-другому, и старый доступ закрыт. Из-за этого чаще всего просто выдаёт ошибку и ничего не читает. Есть и старые недочёты, которые никуда не делись: - При долгом прослушивании иногда обрывает слово в конце фразы и продолжает его уже в следующем сообщении — раздражает. - Цифры почти всегда читает по-английски, нормальное русское произношение — большая редкость. - Интонации местами странные, потому что голос до сих пор на старом движке, а в новой версии Gemini он звучит заметно лучше и живее. Очень жаль, что разработчик перестал обновлять расширение. На GitHub он когда-то писал, что подумает над апдейтом и даже рассматривал отдельное Windows-приложение (чтобы можно было использовать технологию в играх, переводах и т.д.). Технология реально крутая, и если расширение когда-нибудь приведут в порядок и переведут на актуальный API — оно снова станет лучшим. А пока, увы, только троечка и надежда, что автор всё-таки вернётся к проекту.
Sometimes the sound at the end of the last word of the selected sentence is cut off. The cut off sound is continued at the beginning of the next time it is run with another selected sentence.
Nice; but why not just give us a free standing big button to press or have it read automatically?
