Hover your mouse over any image on the supported websites and the extension will automatically enlarge the image to its full size, making sure that it still fits into the browser window.
This is an open source version of the original HoverZoom extension which is now overrun by malware and deleted from store. In this version all spyware has been removed, many bugs were fixed and new features were added. It doesn't collect any statistics by default. The only permission it needs is to access data on all websites (to extract full images), and *optional* permissions to access browser history, download/save images or get tab urls for per-site configuration.
Sometimes sites change design and when it happens extension needs to be updated. Please report any issues with zoom not working by using Support tab or https://github.com/extesy/hoverzoom/issues page.

Absolutely perfect.
Works reliably and has extensive options. Some suggestions: (1) Ability to pop-up ANY image, when a chosen key is held. (2) Ability to reverse image search a picture. Ideally, one could customize the RIS sites and even open multiple searches at once. (3) Ability to set a default zoom-scrolling speed (under the Settings), without having to press the +/- keys.
Love it! It works perfectly on many websites and allows to quickly view a fullsize version of an image. Saves many clicks and loading time.
is there a way to show caption when opening image in seprate window?

It was good at one point, but now it interferes with web page loading, like Amazon (it crashes after lockup). Pages now load slower.
Destroys ability to launch Amazon website in Chrome or Edge. Disabling this extension brings it back to normal operation. what the heck? fix it please - we like to zoom images while we shop like good little capitalists hunting for dopamine with purchases from bezies...
Unreliable on Pixiv. Sometimes it works, sometimes it only loads the thumbnail, sometimes it does nothing at all.
Was great, even if it's been completely broken on eBay for years, and only kinda works on Flickr, but now it's also broken on Amazon (and Im sure plenty of other sites). What's going on with this extension?!
I've uninstalled this several times now. It literally gets me banned from eBay temporarily and causes Amazon to completely crash. Beyond frustrated over this once trustworthy app now acting like an actual virus.
