This extension will load the video player only when the link in the browser is a video. To play a local file, you simply have to copy the path in the URL bar or drag and drop it in the browser.

I would add x3 to the speed, and it would be good to have a command to change the speeds with the keys to make it much faster and avoid having to click.
It better than the inbuilt player but two features could be added. A Picture-In-Picture button. It's not available on the menu either but is on the context menu of a video. I think someone else said a double click to toggle full screen for those of us used to the feature.

Wow Amazing this is I want . I found it after 10s of extension installing. It can play even file url video like this file:///D:/ just have to allow access file url from extension settings. Just one thing is missing - Mouse Left Double click to full screen
cannot play my mp4 file, only black screen
