This extension adds a button to your browser toolbar. Click the translate icon whenever you want to translate the page you're visiting.
The extension also automatically detects if the language of a page you're on is different from the language you're using for your Google Chrome interface. If it is, a banner appears at the top of the page. Click the Translate button in the banner to have all the text on the page appear in the new language.

NOTE: Please do NOT try this extension to translate this page or other pages on https://chrome.google.com/extensions. It does not work because Chrome does not allow extension gallery pages to be scripted.
UPDATE(v1.2): Now you can change the extension options to enable automatic translation or prevent the banner automatically popped up for specified languages and web sites.

I have been using Google Translate for years now and it has never failed to impress me. The accuracy of translations is truly remarkable, and the fact that it supports so many different languages is amazing. I especially love the instant camera translation feature, which makes it easy to translate signs and menus when traveling. The interface is also very user-friendly and easy to navigate. Overall, I cannot recommend Google Translate enough - it is an essential tool for anyone who needs to communicate across different languages.
I love it! Simple and fast.

There is a conflict in the z-index css stylesheets injected by this plugin On YouTube pages (shorts video) when opening comments, a pop-up window appears to read the comments, here when you highlight any word in the comments for the purpose of translation, you are now waiting for the small button that bears the Google translator icon, to click on it to show you the translation pop-up window, This translation popup has: z-index: 1201 !important; While the popup for shorts video comments: z-index: 2202; Which means that the translation pop-up window will be in the back The user will not be able to read the translation Please solve this problem
Die Erweiterung übersetzt Webseiten nahezu fehlerfrei. Echt klasse! Leider funktioniert sie bei mir nicht, sobald ich ein Browserprofil benutze, dass ich im Brave Browser synchronisiere (auch wenn Erweiterungen aus der Synchronisation ausgeschlossen sind). Wenn das funktioniert, gibt es den fünften Stern.
Ok... To make it work you MUST CLOSE the whole browser... Then when you reopen a page and select/doubleclick a word, the small icon should appear to directly translate the word(s).
