Bookmark Favicon Changer
Change your bookmark favicon with ease using the Bookmark Favicon Changer extension. Simply click the extension icon or open the options page. Right-click on any bookmark, and a popup menu will appear, offering options to “Change Favicon,” “Reset Favicon,” and “Export Favicon.”
Key Features:
- Use any image file or image URL supported by your browser as a favicon.
- Automatically resize images to a maximum of 512x512 pixels and save them as PNG files.
- No need to keep the original favicon file after changing it.

Thanks, fixed some broken favicons and i happy now)
No longer functions. Icons reset every time you restart your computer. Worked great for years, but now it's time to find something new.
I could not get this to work, but I do not know why. I had a site bookmarked and open. I clicked on this extension and then chose Change Favicon, selected an image, and opened it. The icon on the tab changed, but not the one on the bookmarks bar. When I clicked on the bookmark In the bookmarks bar, the icon reverted to the previous one. I tried another favicon changer, and it was very straightforward, beginning with browse for an image. I would give this one star, but I suspect that I was doing something wrong. Having said that, I used an obvious navigation in the extension and nothing happened.

Works perfectly even in Vivaldi Browser.
Does not work bookmarklet. The shortcut thing seems like a good idea. But the popup is blocked by Chrome, and there is no way to override that.
Works as advertised but you cannot use it for Folders. Which is what I wanted it for. I am so sick of those yellow folders. I will have to find an extension for that. It's still cool to change your icons though.
The UX is really very bad, but that kind of wouldn't matter if it worked... but for me it didn't. Even the "custom bookmark" (the one that redirects to the actual bookmark) didn't work. The bookmark icon is just not changed at all. The extension worked for a few minutes when I tried from the "bookmark favicon" of the options page... until I clicked the bookmark, which made the icon revert. PS. I'm happy to change my review if there is something I missed.
