Allows for Google Workspace administrators to configure FortiSASE Secure Web Gateway access. The extension allows enabling or disabling proxy connectivity based on extension deployment configuration.

Users of this extension are members of a Google Workspace. The end user does not have control over which proxy is used, that is up to the Google Workspace administrator to determine and enforce via group policies.

FortiSASE provides cloud-delivered security and networking for remote users. Explicit proxy or Secure Web Gateway is one of the methods in which FortiSASE offers remote connectivity to its users. Typically users connect to the proxy via a PAC file configuration on their device. For administrators of Google Workspace or ChromeOS, there may be a desire for this proxy configuration to be done automatically via this extension.

This extension is amazing now I can focus on my work without any distractions and do everything I'm told. Because of this extension I have no personality and no interest in anything besides what i'm told. Before this extension I played games after I finished all my work as a break but now the only thing I can do is more work therefore all I do now is constant work. If everything else Is unusable it must be bad so in conclusion I love this extension and would highly recommend it to anybody.

They even blocked the "inspect" feature as well as all enjoyable game websites, this flaming hot piece of garbage is so unbelievably idiotic that the only thing preventing me from uninstalling it, turning it into disc format, and throwing it into a blazing volcano covered in explosives is the fact that my school board forces this Malware-installing article-blocking lag-making pile of steaming trash. As William Shakespeare once wrote "It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." in short, this is horrible, awful, truly the epitome of scum. The three words that best describe this Dung beetle of a chrome extension are "stink", "stank", and "stunk". My hatred for this drivel is so immense that is persuaded me to write this review in language to incomprehensible that if you have read to this point I salute you. Perchance.

Firewalls are one of the most common tools used in cybersecurity, but they are far from perfect. Although they are designed to protect networks and devices from threats, firewalls can also create major problems for users, businesses, and even security teams. In many situations, firewalls are frustrating, ineffective, and overly restrictive. While they do provide some protection, there are several reasons why firewalls can “suck.” One major problem with firewalls is that they often block legitimate activity. Many users have experienced situations where a website, game, app, or online service would not work because of firewall restrictions. Schools and workplaces especially tend to use strict firewalls that prevent access to useful websites, social media, or gaming platforms. Sometimes these restrictions interfere with research, communication, or productivity instead of improving safety. Another issue is that firewalls can slow down network performance. Since all incoming and outgoing traffic must be inspected, the firewall adds an extra step before data reaches its destination. On busy networks, this can lead to lag, buffering, or slower internet speeds. For businesses that rely on fast communication and cloud services, this delay can become frustrating and expensive. Firewalls are also not as effective as many people think. Modern cyberattacks are becoming more advanced every year, and hackers often find ways around firewalls. Malware can be hidden inside trusted programs, phishing emails can trick users into giving access, and encrypted traffic can bypass simple firewall protections. Because of this, relying only on a firewall can create a false sense of security. Users may believe they are fully protected when they are still vulnerable to attacks. In addition, firewalls can be difficult to configure properly. Setting up firewall rules requires technical knowledge, and mistakes are common. A poorly configured firewall might accidentally leave dangerous ports open or block important services. Large companies may have thousands of firewall rules, making management complicated and confusing. This complexity can lead to security gaps or wasted time troubleshooting connection problems. Cost is another disadvantage. Advanced firewall systems for businesses can be extremely expensive, especially when companies must pay for hardware, software licenses, updates, and cybersecurity staff. Smaller businesses or schools may struggle to afford strong firewall protection, while larger organizations spend huge amounts of money maintaining systems that still are not perfect. Finally, firewalls can reduce freedom and privacy. Organizations sometimes use firewalls to monitor user activity and control what people can access online. Employees and students may feel that they are constantly being watched or restricted. Instead of helping users, firewalls can become tools for excessive control. In conclusion, firewalls may help improve cybersecurity, but they also have many weaknesses and drawbacks. They can block legitimate activity, slow down networks, fail against advanced attacks, require difficult configuration, cost a lot of money, and reduce online freedom. While firewalls are useful in some situations, they are not the perfect solution people often imagine, which is why many users believe firewalls suck.
