Hide n' Seek lets you easily remove promoted job postings and companies from your search results on LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor. You can also block job listings by keyword.

⭐ Usage

❗IMPORTANT: The first time you use Hide n' Seek on a job board you'll need to grant permissions in order for it to work, otherwise you won't see the block buttons on the listings. You'll know if you need to grant permissions if you see a yellow alert notification bubble next to the Hide n' Seek button on your browser's toolbar. You can grant permissions by clicking the Hide n' Seek button and then clicking the "Enable Hide n' Seek on {Job Board}" button.

You can search for a job by clicking the Hide n' Seek button on the browser's toolbar or you can go directly to a supported job board's website to perform your search if you prefer.

“Block” buttons are added next to every listing. If you see a listing you don’t like, simply click the button to hide it. By default, the listing will be hidden under an overlay. Alternatively, you can completely eliminate it from search results by enabling the “Do not display hidden jobs” option.

To hide promoted jobs, click the “block” button on any promoted listing and then activate the “Promoted” toggle.

Discovered this on a post you left on Reddit. Thanks for creating this! Very useful. This is a really easy way to filter out all the companies I applied to in the past who keep reposting jobs or I know are not hiring. It's a shame the job market has come to this.

Hide n'seek was powerful but for few days (or weeks ?) impossible for me to hide promoted jobs, only possible to hide companies ... Sorry, may be it's because of my bad english but I still have the problem., possible to hide companies but not promoted jobs Sorry but I don't have (and don't need) github account to connect

Update 2024-08-12: Version 5.0.1 fixed the issue, thank you for swift fix Damian. Note: The new version should be available in 1-3 days on Chrome Web Store or it can be manually installed through GitHub. Hey, thank you for your great job, I have been using this for weeks, filtering 400+ companies. Unfortunately as of today it partially stopped working. I think LinkedIn may have changed how jobs are named. Filtering before: *presses on red circle* filter applied on "Adecco" Filtering now: *presses on red circle* filter applied on "Adecco · Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland (On-site)" There is always " · " as separator, detecting that might fix the issue. Life-saving Chrome extension if you want to streamline your job search. Only question is, if I was to switch computers, how would I retain my list? I have 140+ companies blocked but I don't see a cloud backup or a way to export my list.
