I need to disable Ctrl-W however I can't put Ctrl-W in because...it closes the tab, which is why I want to disable the shortcut. So for me this extension is useless.

I had to go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts to configure it - which was hard to find at first. However once I set everything up there it worked flawlessly.

brilliant. i just wanted to disable the ctrl + s shortcut because i always accidentally presses it when trying to copy and paste
