Amazing tool.Has helped me a lot!
This extension is terribly annoying! Constantly shows it's own tabs instead of something I need, forces to use it's site (probably sends all your browsing history there), tries to force me to use it's new tab view instead if mine.
Una excelente extensión que incrementa 100% la productividad
Life changing software. I'm a software guy, and I don't say this very often at all, but this is absolutely life-changing.
I think this extension is a brilliant example of "design thinking". ********BEFORE AND AFTER USING WORKONA********************************************** People used to shame me for having "too many tabs" open, and I actually knew people who felt deeply ashamed of having "too many tabs" open. A friend of mine even resorted to an extension that discouraged him from having "too many tabs" open. You see the issue was that everybody just assumed that having "too many tabs" open was "bad", a behavior akin to "hoarding", an impulse. No one ever asked me "WHY I had this many tabs open" ( except in a rhetorical and reproachful sense). Fast forward to my life after having used Workona for about three months: CryEmojy, CryEmojy, CryEmojy, LoveEmojy. Finally, someone who understands that in 2019 a browser is a place, a location where people have to go to get tasks done. Sure, every now and then I find myself on the internet shooting breeze. But a lot of times when I click on a webpage it's in service of a purpose: The Baby shower I have to organize; My personal project to get better at drawing; The research I am doing for a blog; etc. In a given day, there are multiple projects that I go back and forth between, and that translates to many tabs. *******HOW DOES WOKONA HELP ME?********************************************************** It helps me compartmentalize my work space, i.e, my browser. Let me clarify what I mean by giving you an analogy. A year ago, I was visiting my sister in New York. She took me to one of the oldest bookstores in her neighborhood: A treasure trove. Literally. I mean, the books were sprawling everywhere, spread out on tables, almost pouring out of shelves. There were no sign posts anywhere. Good luck finding your way ( but of course in that particular case there was the thrill of what you might find). Right across the street was this fairly new bookstore, with shelves upon shelves of books and clear signage helping you navigate in less than 2 minutes where you wanted to be. And that's what Wokona does, it helps me create folders for my browser, so that I can keep all the tabs related to the same project/task in the same place. That means, I can pick up a project/task after three days and quickly get a sense of where I had left it off and what my thinking process was at the time. You know, like walking into the kitchen and finding the flour and the cook book on the counter: "Da, I was going to cook a pie". And like in this example, I also now use workona to set the space up before I even start a task. ******WOKONA v.s BOOKMARKING********************************************************** They are different! Wokona is about setting up the physical space, that is your browser, as you get ready to surf the internet for whatever reason. Bookmarking is about making an inventory of useful information that you could go back to potentially for your entire life. It's like making a digital library. What I have found out is that after using Workona, I only bookmark pages that I really like or I think I may need in the future. It used to be that I even bookmarked pages which were only supposed to help me get a task done for fear of not being able to find them again whenever I would get to the task. So right now, I have four levels of control: 1) Folders for different projects (called workspaces) 2) Tabs that I open for a given project 3) Marked tabs that will always show up for a given project 4) Bookmarked pages ( I use different tools for bookmarking) ******TO WORKONA's TEAM********************************************************** 1) Would be awesome if on the dashboard sidebar, you could indicate which workspaces have a video/music running. ( Sometimes when I change workspaces, it becomes tedious to find out which workspace I have to go to in order to find the tab that's running a video) 2) Have you ever seen that "Monday.com" ad where it says "... This is what it looks like, and this is how it feels like". To me, that's exactly how Workona feels. THE END!
Simply awesome !!
