J’ai récemment testé l’extension ZetaMarker PC pour navigateur et je dois dire que c’est un outil très pratique pour surligner, annoter et organiser les pages web et les fichiers PDF. Ce que j’apprécie particulièrement avec ZetaMarker, c’est son focus sur la confidentialité. L’extension fonctionne sans demander de permissions spécifiques, ce qui signifie que mes données restent sécurisées. De plus, il n’est pas nécessaire de créer un compte pour l’utiliser, ce qui simplifie grandement le processus de mise en route. Un autre point fort de ZetaMarker est son outil de recherche puissant. Il permet de retrouver rapidement des informations en parcourant toutes mes annotations et étiquettes en quelques secondes. Cela me fait gagner un temps précieux et améliore ma productivité! Muita vezes, depois de marcar o texto e atualizar a página, a marcação apenas aparece na lista da barra lateral, mas a marcação do texto na página desaparece. Mesmo clicando na marcação apontada na barra lateral, é como se não houvesse marcação alguma. A sincronização não está funcionando bem.

I've been using ZetaMarker for a few months for highlighting and annotating web pages and PDF files, and I'm happy with its performance and functionality. The customer service is fantastic—they are always available to answer my questions. One of the standout aspects of ZetaMarker is its privacy-friendly nature. When I'm visiting sensitive pages like my bank account or personal email, I have peace of mind knowing that the extension is not accessing any of my sensitive data. Unlike other similar extensions that request intrusive permissions, this one is permission-free. Overall, I highly recommend ZetaMarker. It's a rare find in the market where many alternatives compromise user privacy for functionality.

ZetaMarker is an outstanding software extension but is missing a fundamental aspect: you should provide to the end user an option to set/unset automatic activation of the extension when it finds a site with highlights. How on Earth will I remember where I highlighted things across websites? ZetaMarker is probably caring about not being an intrusive extension, and that is correct. However, you can achieve both results by making an "automatically enable ZetaMarker in highlighted websites" option available for the user and setting it to false by default.
