Also known as "BTTV" or "Better Twitch TV" by the community, BetterTTV aims to add new features to Twitch and YouTube (in beta).

Here's some of the features we add:

• Extra emotes in chat - BetterTTV global and per-channel custom emotes

• Improved emote menu

• Custom keywords targeting phrases, words, users, and chat badges

• Split chat lines for easy reading

This is the best extension ever, I shouldn't have to explain why. The features are what you expect and then some, the dark theme helps a ton if you are watching at night and the light colours hurt your eyes.

BetterTTV HLS Beta refuses to work despite having VLC installed. I tried searching Google for troubleshoot but nothing. I'm on OSX Mountain Lion btw.

As a moderator on numerous Twitch channels this is one of my favorite things ever. The purge button and the other great features make life 10 times easier. One of the only things I think would be cool to see is a 1 minute timeout button.

With these great features, its a must for any twitch commoner. Black interface is so stylish that I cant go back using vanilla now.

I can never go back to default twitch.tv chat ever again- Better TTV adds in all the features I've always thought were missing or would be useful; MUST-HAVE app, 5-stars for sure.
