This extension measures the dimensions from your mouse pointer up/down and left/right until it hits a border. So if you want to measure distances between elements on a website this is perfect. It doesn't really work with images because there the colors change a lot pixel to pixel.

Measure between the following elements: images, input-fields, buttons, videos, gifs, text, icons. You can measure everything you see in the browser.
# Mockups
Your designer handed you mockups as PNGs or JPEGs? Just drop them into Chrome, activate Dimensions and start measuring.

Se você aumentar ou diminuir o tamanho da janela, ele trava a régua, e não funciona quando clica nele novamente, horrível.
How about a to add mode with following by divs\etc.container(not letters in its(maybe merge this two mode in one)? Tnxanyway.

I like it. It's like "Rooler" plugin. This has fewer features but works. "Rooler" sadly isn't working now and hasn't been updated.
THIS IS THE BEST TOOL EVER, IT EVEN SHOWS ME MY SCREEN WIDTH IS 1921px WHEN IT'S ACTUALLY 1920px !!! HIRE IT AT WALMART!!!
When this extension works, it's EXTREMELY useful. As a web developer for a major clothing company on the East Coast, I use this pretty much everyday. Our company provides us with MacBook Pro's, and for some reason this seems to be finicky with Retina screens. If I drag the window to my non-Retina monitor and use it, sometimes it works, and other times it just stops working, seemingly at random. Increase stability to something close to 99.9% and this will become a 5-star extension. Until then, it's 3 stars and a recommendation with the caveat that there will be times when you'll have to restart your browser to make it work.
Very cool, but needs some better UX. I click to enable it and often nothing happens. Other times the cross appears and I am able to do what I need.
Amazing!
Doesn't work on MacbookPro Retina 13" (late 2013). It measures, but the lines doesn't fit the website graphics. Doesn't work on any of the many popular websites I tested. Show > 'Actual Size' is selected in Chrome. Only thing that works is when it correctly predicts the max width of a site, but usually the width/height lines fly around the screen unpredictably.
