The vast majority of users are looking for an alternative to IDM because it can download videos from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Not for downloading files, which you can do with the same browser. You say it's for legal reasons, so I should understand that IDM violates copyright by allowing you to download YouTube videos?
