When I first saw this extension I thought it was just another dark mode/theme extension, like Dark Reader (Which is much better; check it out here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dark-reader/eimadpbcbfnmbkopoojfekhnkhdbieeh). I wanted to give it a fair try so I tried it out. Tl;dr, it was awful. It looks like it overlays a gray screen over the webpage, no matter what is under it. This is different from most dark theme extension, which replace the white on the screen with a darker color. Therefore, you get an end result like this, https://prnt.sc/pipfoz , in which you can still clearly see the white in the background. I am frankly disappointed in this. And, when I tried to find how to contribute to this "open-source project", I found that their website does not even link to their github, even when you go to https://www.turnoffthelights.com/open-source/ . Please, Please use *any* other extension if you want dark theme. And, just because I'm nice, I will show you how to use Youtube's *built in* dark theme. Chrome: Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the page. Go down to under the "Sign out" button to where it says "Dark Theme: Off". Click it, and then click the switch next to "Dark Theme". Now it's on! Mobile: Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen. Scroll down to "Settings" and click on it. Then click on "General". At the top it should say "Dark Theme". Click it and, just like that, Dark theme is on! Thank you if you read all the way to the end. I hope I did my part.

i loved this and yes it actually works! and it seems like your in a movie theaters witch is really nice.And it helps eyes not be burning with the bright screen!!Other than what the other reviewers say this is actually an amazing extension.
