The 3D (forced) update is why I am rating the app 1 star. The 2D bitmojis were adorable, the 3D ones are creepy. I don't understand why the change was forced rather than given as an option. Extremely upsetting. I will no longer be using bitmoji unless 2D is brought back... which I sincerely hope is a consideration.

I’ve used Bitmoji for years as an educator, and the original 2D versions became a big part of my classroom personality—fun, expressive, and a great way to make digital materials feel more human. Whether I was making slides, feedback stickers, or Canvas announcements, my Bitmoji brought warmth and a little humor that helped students connect. The new 3D Bitmoji? I hate them. They look nothing like me. The charm and personality of the 2D version is completely gone. Instead of a cartoon version of myself that felt playful and engaging, the 3D one feels awkward, off-model, and strangely impersonal. I’ve tried customizing it, but no matter what I tweak, it still doesn't resemble me—and more importantly, it doesn’t feel like me. It’s frustrating that there’s no option to keep using the 2D version. This wasn’t just a fun extra—it was part of how I built relationships and classroom culture. I really hope Snap brings back the classic style or at least gives users a choice. Until then, I'm stuck screenshotting old Bitmojis just to keep that same energy in my classroom.

Bring back 2D Bitmojis! This so-called "update" is completely out of touch with what users actually want. Bitmojis were meant to be cute, simple cartoon versions of ourselves—not overly "realistic" avatars. No one asked for this change, and realism was never the appeal of Bitmojis in the first place.

Bring back 2D Bitmojis!!! The 3D versions are so ugly, I can't bring myself to use mine and I won't get used to it because I've been avoiding the 3D version in Snapchat for months - I actually would exit Snapchat, open Bitmoji to get my cute 2D Bitmoji & Friendmojis and paste them into the Snapchat conversations... that's a lot of effort but worth it to avoid the ugly 3D versions and I did it almost every time! When I was too lazy, I always had to comment "that's the ugly me" or "ugly us" after using the stupid 3D version! PLEASE bring back the cute 2D version! If we wanted ugly ones, we'd use iPhone Memoji's and whatever Android's version is which are both also ugly.

I really don't like my new 3D Bitmoji and wish I could change it back to 2D. The 3D doesn't even look like me where the 2D was pretty close. The 2D brought smiles to many faces because it looked so much like me. Since the 3D doesn't even look similar, I don't want to use it. As I added features to my avatar, I found that the mouth options are very limited, which affects the overall look. I agree with others who commented that the old Bitmoji "had more charm."

The 3D bitmojis are ugly and I will likely stop using this extension. I'm a virtual teacher, I use these things on EVERYTHING. But with the switch to 3D, I'd rather just not have my emoji on my materials.

I use this daily as a teacher and was upset when many of the bitmoji stickers I used regularly disappeared. I almost stopped using it then, but now the 2D bitmojis are gone and the 3D are not nearly as good. I might be gone for good now...unfortunate!

highly dissatisfied that the platform took the liberty of changing my bitmoji to the ugly 3D option. Once I realized I couldn't change it back to 2D, I had to remove the extension for good. horrible.
