I used to love the 'Improve YouTube!' 🎧 extension — been a loyal user for many years straight. But lately, it’s been super buggy and kinda broke the whole vibe. Now, whenever I go to the “Videos” tab on any channel, the page just freezes, loads forever, and tanks my entire browser’s performance. The only way out is a full reload — major pain. Another annoying thing: when I resize the browser while watching a video, the video keeps playing, but everything else breaks. I can’t click anything. Whole page just glitches out. And sometimes, my settings don’t even load properly. The extension feels half-broken at this point. On top of that, it automatically pauses every video when I first click play, and also makes YouTube take longer to load in general after turning it on. I even tried enabling features one by one to troubleshoot, starting with the essential ones — still no fix. It sucks, but I had to disable it for now. I really miss using it. Please fix these issues or add an option to prevent all these bugs without slowing down the browser or the site.

Really like the extension but when switching to dark theme the titles of the YT videos are in black and I cannot read them. Missing an option to change the font colours!!

I've been using the extension for a long time and had it's problems along the way and got fixed after a while and added some more features I never knew I needed. Recently I noticed that the last update was from December of 2024 and this got me concerned because I have been experiencing some issues with the extension way before that time. I noticed that there are times when the extension fails to function at first page load or reload missing my setting of having the player on theater (wide) mode straight away, or being able to use my shortcut of displaying stats without the usual right-click on video to select. And recently (some time probably after a few youtube updates introducing the new progress bar color gradient), the 'always show progress bar' feature (I use it to gauge my watch time without having to move the mouse and often times some videos doesn't even have a ending phase and goes straight to cut video); It has been failing to keep up with the played part of the video and taking roughly 2 seconds or moving the mouse to update scroll dot positioning. I tried another extension to see if can't be fixed and that extension worked and I can even change the positioning update speed. Another issue is the custom mini player; I can't drag or resize it. It's just a tiny box that is not even centered or edged at the top left part of the screen when scrolling down. I like how I used to read comments and still see from 'the prefered size' of the mini player properly; I still can but from like a large desktop icon size, on a 14" monitor... Hopefully those issues can be addressed soon because this has been my go to extension for customizing yt to almost be perfectly as I want it to be. Along with improve youtube, I have uboL & privacy badger running which I believe shouldn't cause problems with each other (and never have) but I'll mention it just in-case. Thanks!

Works Amazing and has been very helpful, absolutely does its intended job. However, its playback speed for decreasing the speed is not working. Hopefully the creators will fix this. Anyhow Works Great!
