Unfortunately, when 90% of the features do not work unless you do a song and dance to force YouTube to be the old version, and even then features are dodgy, I always feel insulted as a programmer knowing that someone found "not working" acceptable for release.

Just as the name says, this extension vastly improve my experience with YouTube. And as the permission fiasco, the developer quickly update the extension and remove the permission in question. I leave this review because I think it's unfair that even after the developer update the extension, not all one star review update their review accordingly.

I got this to try and stop my "liked videos" playlist from autoplaying because I store lots of music there and tend to like listening to one track on loop for a while before moving on. "Player Settings->Video autoplay->auto play disabled" did not change anything. "Playlist Settings->playlist autoplay->auto play disabled" did not change anything. setting both of the above options at once did not change anything. The fact that there were two of those options to begin with and no sort of tooltip to explain how they might be different was kind of annoying as well.

The Fit to Player Window and Window Edge options are bugged, they are fine when not in fullscreen but if i switch to fullscreen the video itself doesn't apply to fullscreen properly. there's like a black bar at the bottom of the videos, the Theater mode is fine but i prefer to have the video occupy the whole browsing window when not in fullscreen mode, hopefully this gets fixed as i have been having this problem for months.

Now that the extension went back to the old permission model, i'm rating it as a must-have extension. Using youtube without ImprovedTube makes me feel like I'm in the stone age.
