Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.
When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in your web browser.
Privacy assurance
OneTab is designed for privacy. Your tab URLs are never transmitted or disclosed to either the OneTab developers or any other party, and icons for tab URL domains are generated by Google. The only exception to this is if you intentionally click on our 'share as a web page' feature that allows you to upload your list of tabs into a web page in order to share them with others. Tabs are never shared unless you specifically use the 'share as a web page' feature.
Additional Benefits
Storing tabs in OneTab can also speed up your computer by reducing the CPU load and memory (RAM) usage of your browser. Even a high-end computer can become sluggish when many browser windows are open, because each open browser window may constantly consume resources.

Historically one of the more indispensable extensions I would use day-to-day. However, one nagging but substantial issue is that on OS's with workspaces (i.e. most major ones) whenever you use OneTab, it collapses to a OneTab tab in a browser window in ANOTHER workspace. This is so disruptive to workflow that these days I go to great lengths to avoid using it.

It stops working after a while, and I have to reinstall it. I almost never go back and look at my saved tabs--this is mostly for peace of mind.
Je l'utilise a titre privé et professionnel depuis près d'un an sur Chrome et EDGE: un vrai régal. Après avoir sélectionné les paramètres appropriés dans les Options, cette extension fonctionne parfaitement. Pour les parano. on peut même exporter chaque groupe de raccourcis sous la forme d'une page http. Bravo aux développeurs. -- I have been using it privately and professionally for almost a year on Chrome and EDGE: a real pleasure. After selecting the appropriate settings in the Options, this extension works perfectly. For the paranoid, you can even export each group of shortcuts as an http page. Congratulations to the developers.
Se tem uma extensão que eu procurei por dias foi essa! Não vivo sem! Extremamente útil, intuitiva, fácil de usar.

cool but missing features
How awesome this app is under regular operating conditions: 5 stars Resilience to chrome update: 0 stars It's really nice to be able to close a set of tabs and open them later. Saves precious RAM. Developers --- The only thing I'd ask for is the ability to reorder tab groups. Oh yes, and also please take care of backing up tabs automatically so they don't ALL GET LOST if something goes wrong when chrome updates. Fellow users --- Be careful if you need to quit out of chrome -- chrome might automatically update itself without asking when you quit. During an update, saved tabs may not survive. (For me what happened was that onetab stopped working after the update and I had to reinstall it.) Before quitting chrome, use onetab's export feature to save your tabs to a file. Then, in case chrome updates and breaks onetab, you can restore them.
