DO NOT rely on this extension. It will eventually trash your tabs, defeating its intended purpose. If you don't mind losing the tabs you are saving, then go right ahead. It can be useful as a temporary store for small amounts of non-critical tabs. There are some ways to recover lost tabs, but the developer has conveniently made it virtually impossible to find this information. It used to be freely available. I know because I've lost 1000s of tabs multiple times with this extension. Originally he used Simple Storage to maintain the list of tabs and groups. This was known to be problematic for at least THREE YEARS before the developer even began to admit the problem, then another six months before he converted to Indexed Storage, which persists better. The problem is that if you've lost all tabs, and you reopen your browser again without saving the correct folder/files containing the tabs/groups data, then you may wipe out any chance of ever seeing that data again. Be warned. Caveat Emptor.

BE FOREWARNED: THERE IS NO BACK UP STORAGE ABILITY FOR THIS APP. One tab works only for awhile only, periodically (it has happened to me three times), you will lose ALL of your saved tabs, even those that are "locked"! This app has some serious issues for long term storage, if you need it only temporarily for a short time, it works very well. For long term storage it is a very frustrating app, simply because it cannot or will not backup to cloud or even to a desktop file!

I'm so happy I ran into this extension by accident. The business I run requires Me to have as many as 75 windows open which of course use's a tremendous amount of memory resource. For me this app. is a lifesaver at so many levels. A big Thank You to the developers.

I use this extension all the time. It is marvelous. One thing lacking is ability to sync with other chrome instances on other devices, but I can open 'export' and copy what I want into a cloud app and paste into another device if I want to share groups across machines. I also think it wise to backup by this method occasionally if there is history that is important. In a time when apps are being developed to outsmart the user by hiding what is happening this app is simple and straightforward and it just works as expected.

OneTab is the most useful extension I have, and I am always disappointed when I can't use it at a client's site because there is nothing like it, and I am much less productive without it. When I have so many tabs open I can no longer read them or see the favicon, it's time to click the blue tab in the extensions bar, or click the OneTab tab and select Bring All Tabs Into OneTab. That turns the tab into a link and closes all the tabs, although there are options for only bringing in selected tabs. With the list I can see when I have duplicate tabs open or when I have tabs open that I mean to get to at some point but can't do it right now. I can delete tabs I no longer need, I can open the tab again by clicking the link, or I can leave it to be opened at a future time. The tabs remain as links in chronological order by the date/time they were brought into OneTab. Now we get to the stuff that's even more life-changing. I frequently have multiple tabs open when I am researching a particular subject and I don't want to have to find them all again later. In OneTab you can group a selection of tabs and save them, you can name the group, you can lock the group, and you can star the group to make sure it stays at the top of the OneTab page. Then you can open them all with a single click, or you can open a few individually. This saves so much time and even more important, my sanity. Trust me, you need this extension. I think you will love it as much as I do.
