The extension helps journalists and researchers verify the authenticity of images, and assists in the identification of false information on social media. Search by Image is also popular among photographers, helping artists explore how their work is shared on the web, while shoppers find it valuable for discovering similar products at discounted prices.
The extension enables you to search for images from the context menu and the browser toolbar with the help of a diverse set of reverse image search engines, which can be toggled and reordered from the extension's options. Visit the wiki for the full list of supported search engines.

Images positioned at the selected area are detected regardless of how they were embedded in the page. The extension also supports searching with images from your device, images from private sites, and captured areas of the page.

A chrome extension boilerplate built with React 18, Webpack 5, and Webpack Dev Server 4
Right click an image or some selected text and use that for a secure search using Google Images.
Adds an option to the context menu to reverse search an image on various services
This is the official TinEye Chrome extension. Find out where an image came from, how it's used, or find higher resolution versions.
Revert Google Images to classic view & disable Lens for a simpler, nostalgic search experience.
Why is the "Search" option no longer appearing when I right-click an image? It looks like it's been replaced by a convoluted process involving manually selecting the image after opening the extension menu, something which not only takes more clicks, but also feels like it could simply have been an alternative way of doing it, rather than a replacement.
La usaba para buscar imágenes de Google sin tener que pasar por el inútil método "Lens", pero ya no funciona, te manda a Lens directamente.
I have always loved this extension as a useful alternative to Google Lens, however the Google Image search results stopped showing the image dimensions in their preview. I mainly use this tool to find the highest quality version of an image so for now I have to go back to Google Lens which does show image dimensions though unfortunately usually yields less results.
The instructions you put on github for making Google Images search work again do not work. I get a webpage that says "The setting that you are looking for is not available for your account." when I visit that Google link you provided. What a shame. Man I hate Google
love this extension so much, basically the only extension that uses the original google images instead of the terrible new google lens. only downside is i cant install it on Supermium ver 122.0.6261.152, which i switched to after the terrible new chrome 2023 UI refresh.
AH VAYA, NO FUNCIONA CON LAS IMAGENES DE PC. PERO SI CON LAS DE LA RED
YA NO FUNCIONA, UNA LASTIMA!... PIPIPIPPI
no longer shows up or shows up intermittently. yes I looked at the extension settings/options
that change was unnecesary then, why should i activate search by image manually? how was i supposed to know? i downloaded search by image to get SEARCH BY IMAGE, not for it randomly change it to google lens and have myself manually activating the thing i wanted SINCE THE BEGINNING. thank you anyways.
Almost perfect, if only it could open up the search in the sidebar instead of a new window for someone using ms edge for example, it would have been perfect for me. None the less it's a very useful extension!
