Search by Image is a browser extension that makes effortless reverse image searches possible, and comes with support for more than 30 search engines.
Search by Image is an open source project made possible thanks to a community of awesome supporters. If you'd like to support the continued development of the extension, please check out https://armin.dev/go/patreon
The extension helps journalists and researchers verify the authenticity of images, and assists in the identification of false information on social media. Search by Image is also popular among photographers, helping artists explore how their work is shared on the web, while shoppers find it valuable for discovering similar products at discounted prices.
The extension enables you to search for images from the context menu and the browser toolbar with the help of a diverse set of reverse image search engines, which can be toggled and reordered from the extension's options. Visit the wiki for the full list of supported search engines.

Images positioned at the selected area are detected regardless of how they were embedded in the page. The extension also supports searching with images from your device, images from private sites, and captured areas of the page.

A fantastic stand-in for Chrome's removed "Search by Image" feature.
One of the best extensions ever. Can't imagine any browser without it. Please bring back Google Images search. Looks like it works now.

Гугл не работает! Почините плиз
been my go to for years, but sadly its now dead because of dead. THANKS GOOGLE!
Even though Google completely killed an incredibly useful service, dessant's extension was amazing as long as it lasted. Just remember, entropy always increases and rust never sleeps. Thanks for years of great service!
I've been using this for a very long time for reverse image search for specific high resolution images for my work and collections. It has served me so well and is an absolutely wonderful tool. I was so disappointed to discover that I can no longer search google images, but read through a thread with the developer and have learned this is sadly a google issue as google have retired this fantastic feature in order to push their horrible lens feature. There is sadly nothing the developer can do about it. I will continue to use this marvellous tool to search other engines - I've just discovered yandex is useful. Shame on google, who seem to be greedier by the minute. But thank you so much to the brilliant developers of this great tool which I would really be bereft without
2025 - Google Images search does not work as it used to. Five stars because it used to work for years, but this is likely Google's fault.
