Mendeley Web Importer detects article identifiers on the page you are viewing and automatically retrieves metadata and PDF full texts (where available) for you to add to your library. You just need to be viewing an article or a list of references in the browser and click on the Mendeley Web Importer extension icon in the toolbar.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2024: I've managed to sign in again. Signed into my account on mendeley.com first on chrome and on edge. Kept pressing the extension button and letting all the popups happen. Finally managed to sign in to the extension too. I love this extension and managed to get it working in a roundabout way. Once installed I wasn't able to sign in but I noticed that the sign in button would open a mendeley logo on my taskbar - which is exactly how Edge (which uses Chromium) adds webapps to computers. Using this hunch, I opened up edge. Logged on to mendeley on edge. Left edge open. Opened Chrome and tried to sign in again. It worked! I had to try it a few times but I'm definitely signed in and using the extension perfectly. I believe the issue here is that the chromium coding for the mendeley extension is somehow calling up Edge instead of a Google chrome window for signing in. hopefully you all can get it working!
