Mendeley Web Importer detects article identifiers on the page you are viewing and automatically retrieves metadata and PDF full texts (where available) for you to add to your library. You just need to be viewing an article or a list of references in the browser and click on the Mendeley Web Importer extension icon in the toolbar.
You'll need a Mendeley account to save, read and cite the articles you import. To sign up and receive 2GB free storage space, visit https://www.mendeley.com

The recent update is making me unable to use the extension. Could not be linked with my account. Only displaying the get started page.
有个bug,打开以后不能加载PDF
Cannot even get past the "Get Started" button. I love the program but the import service is too buggy.
GREATNESS!!! Confused by the low rating, it works flawlessly and saves so much time while doing research projects or lab report citations. If using a school computer with chrome, user can simply add the extension to chrome, log in, and sync articles to the folder needed, and access them easily from another computer later. Seems like the website library is not as easy to manage as the desktop application, for copying citations and what not, but I will try it a bit more and see if it is user unfamiliarity. I do see some problems with repeat log-in requests, but that's insignificant relative to what a great tool it is and countless hours saved. Also very nice to look through at previous projects using the search function, rather than having to locate useful articles all over again. THANKS MENDELEY TEAM!
I just switched from Endnote to Mendeley and I really like it so far, so easy and user friendly to adapt.
I had been using throughout the course of my PhD - it wasn't perfect but got the job done. However, since the recent updates I've needed to sign in to it every single time I opened Chrome. Now, I can't even sign in to it as the sign-in box appears in my taskbar but, when I click on it, it won't actually maximise, meaning I can't bloody sign in to it now. A load of rubbish - feels like no one even bothered testing it before releasing updates
Now and then I can't sign up through the web importer. What's wrong? Otherwise, the mendeley is of great help when it comes to citations (But it must be working!) :-)
What happened???? :( I cannot import ANY PDFs anymore so I have to import each one manually. No point in having the extension anymore. I managed to import the citations but it won't download any PDFs. I cannot see the list of papers at all or the "PDF available" red text (as claimed in the web page). I have all the permissions in the "developer mode" switched on and I have downloaded the extension and updated it few times already, so the only explanation is that the functionality is lacking. Why would you release an update with so many bugs? I am not the only one having problems from what I can see. I love Mendeley and I "sell" it to everyone I can, but I am disappointed this time around :(
The new version do not work properly on APS journals, it do not recognize the article number.
