Mendeley Web Importer detects article identifiers on the page you are viewing and automatically retrieves metadata and PDF full texts (where available) for you to add to your library. You just need to be viewing an article or a list of references in the browser and click on the Mendeley Web Importer extension icon in the toolbar.

You'll need a Mendeley account to save, read and cite the articles you import. To sign up and receive 2GB free storage space, visit https://www.mendeley.com

I have the Mendeley desktop app and then dowloaded the extension. The first time I logged in to the extension I used my university account, not realizing my desktop app is my personal account and the two won't sync. I logged out of my university email on the extension but when I try to log in again it says "sxg@******, not you?" So I click on "not you" and it opens a new page which says "something is wrong, contact an administrator." I have removed the extension and have tried again with the same result. If this worked it would be a huge help! I cannot log in to Mendeley on any web page without this happening.

Es una buena herramienta, el problema más grande que tiene es su falta de sincronización con la web librery y con el desktop. Y aunque instales o desinstales el programa, sigue sin haber solución. También alenta tú maquina o traba el word y eso es horrible.

Sadly, tries to login every single time I launch this add-on but always fails to do so. Had to import everything manually due to this problem. Not good, even for a free service.

When I open a pdf on the web, the Mendeley extension popup goes out of the screen and there's no way to pull it in. Also, unable so save my annotations to a saved citation.

When I try to import mendeley while opening the PDF file in chrome, the pop-up is partially visible that i can not click the "save" button.

Extension hasn't worked since the latest update to mendeley. The web importer button is effectively useless now.
