Mendeley Web Importer detects article identifiers on the page you are viewing and automatically retrieves metadata and PDF full texts (where available) for you to add to your library. You just need to be viewing an article or a list of references in the browser and click on the Mendeley Web Importer extension icon in the toolbar.
You'll need a Mendeley account to save, read and cite the articles you import. To sign up and receive 2GB free storage space, visit https://www.mendeley.com

I can't login with my Macbook.
This does not work on Chrome... I'm having the same problem as everyone else (unable to sign in, even after deleting cache/cookies and turning off adblock). Without a web importer my desktop mendeley app is absolutely useless so I will be deleting both as I need to get some work done and import pages of citations at a time. I guess I have to go to the competition because I couldn't get anything to work at all. I wish I read the reviews first :/
Have been using for a long time and it stopped working. I uninstalled and re-installed it, and still no response when pressing the button.

At the moment, I am extremely disappointed though I used to love Mendeley importer some months ago. It is an important time and I am about to end my master's thesis, and I was fully dependent on the Mendeley to attached my references, but unfortunately it doesn't work anymore. I tried both Chrome and Safari extension but unfortunately in both of them, it doesn't work. It asked for sign on and when I provide credentials, it comes back to sign on again. It works on web and desktop version. Please fix the Chrome extension. Thanks.
This has always been buggy but now it doesn't even work and says an extension is blocking it. I turned off ad-block and still the same.
The plugin wont work at all. When you click on sign in, it doesn't actually sign you in and keeps looping you out. Garbage
It's not working at all, does no read url even when I activate it, asking me to sign in every time, the right working window only pop up on their own website......
A extensão para o chrome não tem funcionado nas últimas versões. Encontrei a solução aqui nos comentários e está a funcionar perfeitamente: Acrescentar o domínio mendeley.com às cookies autorizadas. Ir a: Avançadas > Definições de conteúdo > Cookie > Permitir > Adicionar: [*.]mendeley.com
