Mendeley Web Importer detects article identifiers on the page you are viewing and automatically retrieves metadata and PDF full texts (where available) for you to add to your library. You just need to be viewing an article or a list of references in the browser and click on the Mendeley Web Importer extension icon in the toolbar.

You'll need a Mendeley account to save, read and cite the articles you import. To sign up and receive 2GB free storage space, visit https://www.mendeley.com

Quick and easy way to get references on your main Mendeley-library. Although best always check the details, and that downloaded pdf actually contains your article

Does not work on Mac OSX using Chrome 62.0.3202.94. Clicking sign-in launches a new tab and within seconds it closes without allowing sign in. Have added pop-up permissions for https://static.mendeley.com and www.mendeley.com to no avail. @Valbhav Chidrewar: THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT WORK ON MAC USING CHROME.

USE FIREFOX INSTEAD. does not work in chrome, sign-in doesn't register despite reinstalling both chrome and the mendeley extension repeatedly. works beautifully in firefox, so bye-bye Chrome. very disappointing.
