Mendeley Web Importer detects article identifiers on the page you are viewing and automatically retrieves metadata and PDF full texts (where available) for you to add to your library. You just need to be viewing an article or a list of references in the browser and click on the Mendeley Web Importer extension icon in the toolbar.
You'll need a Mendeley account to save, read and cite the articles you import. To sign up and receive 2GB free storage space, visit https://www.mendeley.com

Working behind a home network (Not a university one). Every time I try to open the extension it says "Aw, Snap" and crashes the windows. I have cleared my cookies, logged in through the Mendeley site first and cannot get it to work.
It used to work several days ago, but now I'm getting the following error almost every time : 400 Bad Request - Request Header Or Cookie Too Large Edit : thank you James Leung, it solved the issue. But this should not be necessary, I don't want to have to clear my cookies.
Useless software, it doesnt do what it is supposed to do.
EXcelente aplicacion
not working on crhome
Yep, cant log in for some curious reason. Judging by the other reviews here this is a common issue. Why it hasn't been dealt with is beyond me. Until this issue has been fixed this plugin is all but useless. Avoid.
I can sign in and capture the citations, but the pdf downloaded cannot open. Hope to fix it.
Has been working alright until a couple days ago. No longer able to detect metadata on very standard-formatted online articles.
Same problem as others. Login doesn't work. Chromium Version 52.0.2743.116 (64-bit)
Working perfectly for me. Login to Mendeley account on first use, navigate to pdf of target paper, import to target folder. (folder nav could be better, but works) MUCH better than saving, renaming, importing, etc.
