AI 产品解读Chrome companion extension for Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software, bridging Dragon's voice command capabilities to the Chrome browser via native messaging
Dragon NaturallySpeaking's built-in browser support cannot directly interact with modern web pages in Chrome. This extension enables Dragon users to use voice commands (clicking elements by name, dictating/editing text) within Chrome, including support for Google Docs and specialized web applications.
1) User installs Dragon NaturallySpeaking desktop software (v13+) and the Chrome extension. 2) The extension injects content scripts into all web pages. 3) When Dragon is running, the extension's background service worker connects to Dragon via Chrome native messaging (com.nuance.dgnria). 4) Voice commands spoken to Dragon are relayed through the native messaging host to the extension, which then parses the DOM, identifies clickable elements and editable fields, and executes the requested actions (click, dictate, edit) on the page.

- 目标用户
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking users (version 13+) who browse the web with Chrome / Professionals requiring hands-free web navigation and text input / Medical professionals using Dragon with web-based clinical applications
- Cannot inspect the native messaging host (com.nuance.dgnria) code or Dragon desktop application to verify full feature requirements
- Cannot confirm whether Dragon NaturallySpeaking itself requires a Nuance account or activation key beyond the initial software purchase

The extension itself contains no payment logic, subscription checks, premium feature gating, billing APIs, or upgrade UI. Searches for premium, subscription, license, upgrade, payment, and purchase returned zero matches. Dragon NaturallySpeaking itself is a paid desktop product, but the extension does not gate or manage those paid features — it is a free companion that bridges Dragon to Chrome.

- The extension is a local bridge between Chrome and the Dragon NaturallySpeaking desktop application. It communicates via Chrome's native messaging API (chrome.runtime.connectNative('com.nuance.dgnria')) — no login UI, no authentication flow, no account creation is implemented in the extension itself. The keyword hits for 'login' and 'auth' are all false positives from @author comments and commented-out debug logging strings.

does anyone know if dragon works better with firefox or internet explore?
excelente
The program constantly stops working and you have to remove it and then re-enable it in the chrome store as well as exit the program and restart. For a tool that is supposed to increase productivity, you would think they would have a much more stable platform. 9/20/2019 - Extremely frustrating. I have to remove and reinstall this extension over a dozen times each day that I work. There are times I just give up and open up a notepad document to dictate into and then cut-and-paste that dictation into an email or other webpage.
I just keep getting "Please say that again" when I do anything in chrome... works fine outside of chrome. I will be requesting a refund for this software.
Although Dragon has been a very good product in the past, it still has no version that works in Windows 10, in spite of the fact that it's been available for 5 or 6 years now. This is unacceptable, to say the least! I wish I had never changed from Windows 7. I'm about to buy a new computer, and I may just go back. It worked remarkably well then. I'm extremely disappointed! What are you waiting for!? BTW, support for Windows 7 will be gone ENTIRELY at the end of this year. PLEASE GET OFF YOUR BUTTS AND DO something. Please realize that I'm entirely dependent on your program since I'm quadriplegic. Without your product, my computer is basically a paperweight. I actually wasted my money on a duplicate since I thought you had made another improvement. Those clients that already have version 15.3, PLEASE GO NO FURTHER. That's the best you can do. AS FOR THE PEOPLE AT NUANCE, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO US? WHY DON'T YOU GET OFF YOUR BUTTS AND DO SOMETHING? I MAY JUST GET OFF THIS PC AND HOPE THAT YOUR VERSION OF DRAGON WORKS BETTER THAN THIS ONE!
Congratulations everyone. You've discovered what it took me 19 years to fully realize. I bought Dragon for the first time in 2000, the Medical version, and bought every subsequent upgrade. Eventually, by about v.15 (out of 18) it had gotten phenomenally accurate, but quirky. The last two "upgrades" have shown degrading performance and increasing instability. I paid $1500 for the last version, thinking I might get lucky, but no. My point through all of this is that Nuance couldn't care less. A couple of versions back, Support was very unresponsive. Now, with the latest version, responsiveness is no longer an issue — they have simply eliminated all pathways to get to Support, so it's a moot point. You may, with luck, find a link that is labelled "Support", but it will either go nowhere or lead you in circles. I've tried emailing and even snailing the CEO, the Board of Directors, the advertising department, but Nuance is shut down tight against outside communication. So how do you deal with this kind of corporate arrogance? Well, I retired. That worked.
Terrible extension, doesn't work 90% of the time with chrome.
I agree with all the Previous comments regarding The temperamental nature of this extension for Chrome i.e. when it works it's great but it is disabled at the drop of a hat and quite a faff to get it working again. Could do much better than this.
Extension does not work. Crashes and gets disabled immediately, then Dragon continues to nag about enabling it. Dragon itself is good, but this is a waste of time. They need to step up their game for the price paid!
The extension has really done nothing. It used to work for improved dictation on Chrome - now I get a message saying it's not added (when it is!!) and asks me to restore it. I have to do this every single time I use it. For being a product that costs hundreds - it would be nice if it actually worked.
