Worked great for the longest time, but finally died today. Using Google Chrome, and no errors in the Options page. EDIT: Issues were fixed! Working great again!
Was great while it lasted, no longer working on Chrome, hope it still works elsewhere but it looks like YouTube has some new update that detects this method now. I thank you for your work and efforts, I have subscribed to you on Patreon in the past.
doesn't work as of today at least for me
I've been using this extension and it works really well! But now Youtube is telling me that I've been using AdBlocker and when i remove the extension the video plays. What should I do? (I'm on Opera GX btw) Appreciated it mate! :D
uBlock Origin finally stopped working for me today so I turned to reddit - as always, it never disappoints and I hope my comment contributes to more people finding and using this extension. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into creating it <3
6/15/2024 update: It looks like the developer is aware of the double-audio (and other?) issues that seem to be popping up lately with AdSkipper on YouTube. I'm on version 3.2 and was still having the issue with every YouTube video I played. In the interest of confirming that it was indeed AdSkipper, I disabled AdSkipper and re-enabled it and that (temporarily?) stopped the issue. Maybe that's all that was needed? I'll circle back if it returns (and will post this in the support area here). HTH After the daily cat-and-mouse nonsense with UBO, I found this extension mentioned on Reddit, installed, and have *never* had trouble. It had been a few months of use and I realized that I needed to support the dev (since I believe that such work should be rewarded where possible), so I happily backed them on Patreon. Thank you for this terrific extension.
Makes YouTube useable again. God's work being done here. edit: It seems in the past week, YouTube has sort of caught on to how this extension works? It started sometimes reading it as an ad blocker, and now it doesn't properly skip mid-video ads. Oh dear.
I really hate constantly changing adblock extensions just to have YouTube block them later. It was such a hassle to edit the settings code or find another extension. Fortunately, I found this extension, and it has been a tremendous help in bypassing YouTube ads. Thank you so much for your work, God bless
I absolutely love this, and it has made my experience online so much better. But I do have one question Does the extension 'watch' the ad in the background and pay the creators on YouTube, or does it bypass it all together? I am trying to promote it, just was wondering.
