Extension to automatically mute background tabs if the current tab is playing audio. This allows for fast switching between different audio playing tabs without manually muting and unmuting. This extension can be toggled on/off by a button added to the browser interface or by a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+U/Cmd+Shift+U).
Updates
Version 3.1:
- Fixed behaviour when "Apply across windows" was selected and the active window was not on an audible tab but a background window had an audible tab
Version 3.0:
- Added experimental option for 'Active Tab' strategy to apply it across multiple windows (please send any issues to the listed email address)

I've used this extension for about a year. Works flawlessly. It's a must-have for anyone who - like me - finds themselves channel-surfing across iptv tabs in browser. Great work, dev - many thanks!
The addon/plug-in/extension by far is 1 of the best of many/of all its very good that is even why i come by it is why im here why im reaching out as i need to say i love this a lot i wanna see it grow as a huge plug in how it can im sure it can but i do have my own fan request which is to make it so if you click a different site and it is wether it is playing an audio or wether it is not mute the last current playing tab until you click it back again it should play but when you leave it regardless of audio playing or even if not it must be on mute which will make this sooooooooooooo much better than it already is now currently
One thing would make this perfect: A white list that leaves any tab not on it muted. Thank you very much.

Nice, able to switch between champions league games on tabs and have it auto focus the top tab and mute the others.
Does exactly what I want it to do, no complaints.
Je viens d'installer cette extension et apparemment elle remplie complètement sa fonction, à savoir de laisser actif l'onglets en cours et désactiver les autres. A voir dans le temps..
I have used this for years and no problems until a few days ago and it stopped working and it only works if I select the closed tab from the new chrome search tab feature and select the tab from there... Anyway, it just isn't working properly like it did .. Thanks Banyarola
