Reader View extension brings Mozilla's open-source Readability implantation to Chromium. Using this extension you can strip clutters from webpages and read them on "Reader View" mode. The extension allows you to toggle between normal view and reader view by pressing the page-action button.
Note that reader view mode works best for web pages that have a lot of content. There are some tools in the left side panel that can help you personalize your Reader View. You can change color, background-color, font-size, font-family and width of the reader view.

This is exactly what I've been waiting for. After all these years of trying all the different reader-mode apps for Chrome, now there's this -- the port of the Firefox Reader Mode. It's fantastic.
I've found Reader View to be a well designed and executed reader extension, with all the options easily accessible on the left side. I have one feature request though. Would it be possible to allow images to be turned on and off? Sometimes I like to have only the text showing without the distracting images. A toggle for this would be a perfect solution.
Thank you very much for this app. It just works and it's just amazing. As a matter of suggestion, I'd add Helvetica instead of Arial and update menu icons.
1) не хватает Амазон языков озвучки 2) не хватает более точной настройки скорости воспроизведения текст 3) нельзя начать воспроизведение текста с желаемого места (не с начала) 4) было бы логичнее, если кнопка «Сохранить» – сохраняла бы не HTML-файл, а например, PDF или TXT. 5) не хватает авто-скроллинга с настройкой скорости (чтобы, после нажатия кнопки – страница сама медленно прокручивалась вниз и скорость прокручивания можно было точно настроить) 6) озвучивание текста останавливается после двух-трёх абзацев, в хаотичных местах
This is the best of the many extensions I've tried for this purpose. I would give it five stars if it had one additional feature: a button on the left-side menu to copy the original URL of the article. I hate having to toggle in and out of reader view to copy the URL.
I see why this Reader extension is rated so high. It's very accurate and has an eye pleasing layout. I was enjoying Mercury Reader but it has been abandoned. I tried several others but they struggled greatly at rendering articles correctly at boxingscene.com
Very good extension for easy-on-eyes reading experience. I would definitely recommend. Note to the developer: Kindly check if it is possible to include a "pop-up dictionary on selection of words" while in this reader mode. For example, I use Ginger extension and use its pop-up dictionary while browsing web pages. However, using this Ginger extension's pop-up dictionary is not currently possible in the "Reader View". I would really appreciate if you could check if this is something possible to include. Many thanks.

Almost perfect, but one small bug, the TTS fails to read at faster speeds, otherwise, really useful extension
