New "update" (4.1.0) CRASHES my browser at 3:00am daily due to the new "autobackup" feature that can't be disabled. Other people on Reddit are reporting similar issues. EDIT: Correspondence with developer allowed me to disable the feature and stop the crashes. Raised only to 3 stars because a UI overhaul around March 2024 worsened the extension by removing key info like the tab counter and exact session dates in the session list.

I've been using session buddy for years at this point so giving it an extra two stars for general utility. In the last several months each update has caused all of my sessions to be deleted and this has happened multiple times. The first time I lost two years worth of stuff. This time I only lost a couple of weeks since I last backed up :/ It's a useful app, but I'm not sure how useful it is if you constantly have to manually back it up or risk everything being deleted. It would be really great if the dev could either give users a heads up to let them know to save or to have some sort of autosave feature. Again it's a very useful service and does what it says it'll do - I just wish updates didn't break my save file to use video game lingo.

I've been using Session Buddy for years but recently, it seems to be the cause of Google Chrome constantly crashing. I just restarted my laptop, went into Chrome and saw that all my sessions were gone. Sessions I had saved from months earlier with links I needed...all gone in a flash. I followed the steps to find my data in Windows Explorer but there is no way of importing it. There's also no way to get in touch with the anyone/the developer to get help which is a real let down. I guess I'll have to find another extension like it or return to bookmarking which is long and tedious. To say I'm disappointed is a real understatement.

I’ve been using Session Buddy for at least five years and it’s one of the best and most useful extensions out there. I honestly couldn’t live without it anymore. One suggestion for the developers: earlier versions had an undo button so if you accidentally deleted something you could just press the button to get the link or folder back. That would be a very useful feature.

Terribly broken. Do not install. I've been a steady user of this extension for years. I used it regularly to restore my session, especially when my browser crashed. Over the past year, it's become a complete and colossal failure at that. It no longer stores sessions when Chrome crashes. And now it's lost all my sessions from the past year. This inability to due what it's promised is consistent across machines and operating systems. The developers no longer care. And the inability of Chrome itself to handle restarted gracefully has lead me to switch to Firefox, where there are better extensions for this and better support in the browser itself. This extension is garbage and should be removed.
