Go back with the backspace button! This extension re-enables the backspace key as a back navigation button -- except if you're writing text.
What's New in 3.0:

* Updated to Manifest V3.
Before Chrome 52, the backspace key navigated back (if you weren't writing text). Many people lost their progress while working online by accidentally pressing backspace and leaving a page -- so we removed the feature from Chrome, and created this extension for those who prefer the old behavior.
This extension can't restore backspace on certain special pages, for example any of the "chrome://" pages such as Settings or Extensions.

I finally have my backbutton back!
That this is even a thing is patently ridiculous. It is without a doubt the most one step forward, two steps back feature I've ever encountered and to require an extension rather than say, a simple check box in settings for what is a key feature in the use of every web browser since the concept of a go back button came into being, is just as bad. Please in the future refrain from having an automatic update alter something like this. All it does is make me and other consumers like me more hesitant to update in the first place for fear of losing our current settings.
1 star for the absurdity of needing this extention. Works fine, but this basic functionality should be at least an OPTION.

People who rate this lowly are not helping anyone. The extension does exactly what it implies, and is an official solution offered by Google. It should be a default option, but rating an extension poorly because you are disappointed in a company's decision will not make matters better.
文字入力中にBackSpaceキーが効かなくなることがある。 おそらくニコニコのようにFLASHを使っている部分だとそうなる。
I don't mind the removing of the feature by default. I'm rating this 3 stars because this extension is causing me to go back when trying to use the Backspace key in Flash text boxes. This should not be happening, using Backspace when in any kind of text box should not be affecting anything to do with the browser. Disabling until that's fixed.
Just turn it back.
