Great extension, just wish there was a feature to close ALL but locked tabs, including current tab, after timeout, the time seems to keep resetting and so never closes on the current tab, wishes it would close all, just leaving locked one(s) open. (Saw a request for this in questions ??) Otherwise great!!
Chrome is so much lighter, fresher, crispier, crunchier--so shiny and chrome--after I installed Tab Wrangler. 15-20 tabs used to litter one window. Now this manages to bring that down to 3-5 when I've abandoned those pages. It really is very very useful.
Not quite what I wanted -- when it restores an automatically closed tab, it does NOT remember which window it was originally in. I usually like to have multiple Chrome windows (each with multiple tabs), with a different window for a different topic. Although the memory gain from automatically closing dormant tabs is great, the hassle of manually putting them all back into the correct windows (as opposed to whichever window has focus when I restore the closed tab) isn't worth it. If you want something that manages memory from dormant tabs but keeps the tabs in their correct positions, I would recommend 'The Great Suspender'.

It doesn't work!!!!! The same pages keep popping back up, even after I've clicked the x a bunch of times. It also seems to keep multiple versions of the same page open.
My favourite Chrome extension. I have plenty of RAM, but the number of tabs I have open at any one time can become unwieldy. Tab Wrangler remedies this and does much, much more.
