The extension must now be enabled for each hostname individually. This adjustment enhances the extension's performance, as the always-active feature can disrupt websites. To activate it, open the page requiring the always-active feature in a browser tab and click the action button once. The page will refresh, and the action button will turn blue.

This extension protects against web pages tracking the activity state of the page. Some websites use this track to only offer services when the tab is active. By installing this extension a small script is injected into every webpage which overwrites the "document.visibilityState", and "document.hidden" properties to pretend the tab is always in the active state (document.visibilityState = 'visible' and document.hidden = false).
This is useful for the webpages that check your visibility state before loading resources like many music webpages. By installing this extension even if the page is opened in the background page, the player will start immediately like the page is loaded on an active tab.

Does not work as described; set to specific sites, yet fails to keep facebook from auto-refreshing.
It was an awesome app but they changed it to be close till you click it open, it was way better the way around, when it was "always on till you click it off" now it useless for me. I've put 3 stars because its still working, but i would have put 5 if it was like before update. hope they will change it or to put a button that you can change between "open at start/close at start" kind of choice
On Chromne the extension is only working On click. In Details, if you have it set to All sites or Specific sites, it doesn't work

Is this extension working post the latest update ? Can someone lease let know, thanks! How do we test this if this is working or not ?
Stopped working in twitch after latest update
it is very good and helpful when server does not serve when tab is not active.
It should be a feature in the browser. Depending on the website it can overuse RAM, but all extensions can be configured to work on a white list, so it's not a problem
The good: It does what it says and prevents pages from autorefreshing The bad: It completely wrecks your Chrome browser and slow most tabs to a crawl, spikes your CPU and RAM usage and causes some pages to freeze, interacts with Outlook email (highlighting sections of text) and is just terrible on your system. I applaud the effort, but this extension is, unfortunately, unusable.
