This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.
ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.
In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

I've been waiting for this feature forever! I haven't used Google for search in months, and this is a game-changer. Absolutely a killer feature!
did not work for me with pop_os brave browser.
Took about .3 seconds for me to "get it". Now a more complete picture of my search habits can be used for my enhancement. OUTSTANDING!!!

Well done. Bring search suggestions and inline responses to quick queries like "$10 into INR".
I'm sure it may still be in the works, but it is not compatible with Opera GX to my knowledge, at least as of right now. Other than that, I look forward to being able to use this extension when things are more refined!
Meh... it just drops you into the ChatGPT interface. Why would I want or need an extension for that. No thanks...
The chat-enabled search is amazing. However, is there a chance to just make this application native in ChatGPT, while keeping google as default search engine? I neeed to constantly check serps for work and it's getting annoying.
