WARNING DO NOT INSTALL THIS EXTENSION. While it works as a volume booster, it is bundled with a malicious adware framework called GiveFreely. If you check the internal files, it contains hidden scripts in the vendor folder designed to track your browsing history and monitor every media resource you request. It uses the webRequest and all_urls permissions to spy on your activity and injects ad units into every website you visit via a content script. It is essentially spyware masquerading as a utility. A legitimate volume booster only needs tabCapture permissions, but this one demands access to all your data on all websites just to monetize your private information. Protect your privacy and find a clean alternative that does not track your web traffic or inject scripts into your browser.

Not sure if it has been compromised, but I cannot recommend using it in its current state. It advertises for a charity at the checkout page for a lot of websites with a checkout page. While it still works, I highly recommend uninstalling it if you have it. If they have already injected adware without updating the extension in 9 months (meaning a backdoor exists), they could inject malware in the future. Look for other alternatives.

I'm not sure about if it is an adware,I have two different adblockers (just in case ads slipped past the first one),and I have never gotten an ad from it,I can,however,say that it IS a functioning extension that does quite noticeably boost sound,even if the slider is set low,I have my review at 4 stars because of the supposed adware thing,I will boost it up to 5 if it's disproven
