For those saying it "didn't work" I immediately restarted after installing and it works. Be careful not to blow out your speakers, you will hear distortion immediately, but the sound is much louder. The most annoying thing about this extension, and the reason why I will be deleting this as soon as my speakers arrive, is the fact you CANNOT WATCH MOVIES, YOUTUBE, OR ANY STREAMING SITE IN FULL SCREEN MODE. There is a popup that you cannot turn off that says to "Press 'F11' for fullscreen", but it only turns off the extension and makes it stop working.

it works yes but i fail to see how a sound booster prevents me from fullscreening i just dont see the connection.. also f11 is not fullscreening its just zoomed in a lil because it hides everything at the top of the page

Works, as other say it can over drive your speakers. Don't try to push the volume up too high, you may also need to turn down when you hear distortion, when playing louder audio. On windows 10 I found different if more limited method that helps boost the low volume part of audio for me with less risk to speakers. Help with watching films on old built in laptop speakers Sounds-> Playback -> Speaker > Properties > Enhancements -> Check - Loudness Equalisation then Apply

A very good extension that saves me from having to buy a physical volume booster. However, one thing that constantly annoys me, is that everytime I try to take the video to full screen, a pop up window telling me to press F11 to go to full screen would always appear. No matter how many times I click on the "Don't tell me again" box, every time I turn on the extension and try to go to full screen, this annoying pop-up will always appear without fail. That's why I give this 4 stars instead of 5.
