I'll start with this: cococut works well. I was able to download videos in M3U8 format. During the trial period, the downloads were quick, and it wasn't too hard to figure out how it works. Where it takes a downturn is after downloading a few videos. They claim that the standard speed is 1x, but it was definitely much slower than that, with an hour of video taking at least a couple of hours to download. While downloading at this slow speed, I kept seeing messages that segments were missing and that I should click here. I'm not sure what that was all about. It didn't have any issues at fast speed during the trial. It makes me lose a lot of confidence that something that took hours to download is actually intact. I would have willingly paid for the "pro" version, except that it's quite expensive, on a subscription model, and they hide the pricing pretty deep, hoping to catch people on a hook during the trial. Thankfully, I was able to get about 90% of what I wanted during the trial, and I suffered through the last few videos at the painfully slow speed. Come on, people. If the standard speed was actually 1x, I'd probably give you all your stars back, but deliberately making super-slow is a hit below the belt.
