If emails were letters, Notes for Gmail™ by cloudHQ would be sticky post-it notes.
Highlight a section of an email that you received, and make a note about it. Keep it for yourself or email it to someone else.
The notes are embedded directly within your email message and stored on Google Gmail™ servers, allowing you to view them on your mobile phone as well.
No more having to respond to someone by saying "see edits below in red", or wishing that you could write a note on an email. Now, you can just use Notes for Gmail™ by cloudHQ and never lose a thought.
It is also useful to add information to your email message, such as the project ID or customer ID, so you can easily search for that email.

Notes for Gmail makes my life so much easier. Adding notes to emails is very helpful for my workflow.
This app helps me keep my email notes organized and attached to my actual email. It’s really a unique app.
Version 1.0.1.02 improves the integration with Label Sharing for Gmail by introducing a notification feature that alerts collaborators when a new note is added to a shared email they are viewing.

Very useful, I just wish there was an option to never include the note in reply body to remove the risk of accidentally exposing internal notes to an external client.
Uh oh. I've been using Gmail Notes for a while, albeit for very few emails. Today, I added a note to an email, and the email was emptied! Its contents and attachments just disappeared. I've sent an email to Support (and heard nothing back over a month later), but needless to say, I'm not going to trust this one again 🙁

Quite a useful add-on for adding notes and comments to emails, but it would be even better if it had a feature to search for notes across multiple emails. Overall, I recommend this extension.
