It doesn't find partial words. For example, this is the original comment "They sound like dying frogs from Beverly Hills." I search "frogs", it finds the word. "frog", it still finds. But when I search "fr", it doesn't find any result.

Really like this extension. However, as someone previously mentioned, earlier it was possible to use the extension without using the API key at all. Now, I had to go through the entire process of generating a youtube API key to make it work. Also YCS had a useful feature of searching up via commentors username, something which could be useful when one is specifically looking for comments made by that one person. With YCS gone, it would be cool if this could be added in.
