Exactly as user RJ here below describes. Used to work perfect and was happy with it although the version was old. But suddenly the developer woke up? since last update after years the extension is not working properly anymore. Looks like it uses BS info in the Changelog AND forced auto-updated without notice! Now he removed that option (?) seemingly so cannot check or uncheck anything regarding updating whih I recall was there before. But most IMPORTANT: Very annoyed me as suddenly since this update in December 2019 it deleted All History before that date! Ridiculous behaviour in all ways. I was baffled why I couldn't find anything I was looking for like before I could (no I never deleted my history nor does Google chrome do this), when looking deeper on dates it just removed everything before 17-12-2019 which is exactly the date of the update ...thanks for the screw-up! :-( Stay away from this one now. Looking for other extension now, there's enough alternative....

I've used Recent History for months and it has been flawless. A few weeks go it began displaying "Updated to v3.05" when Chrome 80 64-bit was started. I reset the options to Most Visited = 25 and all others are zero and saved it. It says it saved the changes. The next time Chrome is started it says "Updated to v3.05" again and all options are at the default again. So it's not saving the changes now for some reason. I tried removing and reinstalling v3.05 but that did not help. The Github changelog for v3.05 just says "Fixed browser action bug". https://github.com/umarsheikh13/recent-history/blob/master/README.md

not much useful, even worse than the origin history manager,when search the history, you can't filter the result with chinese words , than can be understood; but even one letter or two doesn't work.just a String filter , crtl +f can do it . so are there any refine.
