Remove cookie warnings from almost all websites!
The EU regulations require that any website using tracking cookies must get user's permission before installing them. Imagine how irritating that becomes when you surf anonymously or if you delete cookies automatically every time you close the browser.
In most cases, it just blocks or hides cookie related pop-ups. When it's needed for the website to work properly, it will automatically accept the cookie policy for you (sometimes it will accept all and sometimes only necessary cookie categories, depending on what's easier to do). It doesn't delete cookies.

This extension has been sold to Avast. You should move to alternatives such as 'PopUpOff' or 'Cookie Notice Blocker'. Avast is known for selling customer data.
It seems everyone has covered why his decision is a bad idea. I just came on to downvote as well. And yes, it *is* a shame because it was a good addon. I would be interested to see how Avast is reacting to this.
They sold to Avast, rip, will uninstall.
Was a very handy extension. Now Avast reads all your browsed websites. Goodbye!
The developer called Avast trustworthy.
The extension itself was great and very useful. But now it has been sold to Avast. Avast, that awful company that became known for selling its customers' data in 2020. This is an absolute no-go, and I will uninstall this extension immediately.
NortonLifeLock, Avast nope! dont use it right now.
Given that it was sold to Avast, a company known for using software to harvest data from users, the extension is now useless to me and I would not recommend it to anyone.
The developer just sold this extension to a huge data harvesting malware company. Don't install it now.
This once open source extension has now been bought by Avast and due to being a victim of their aggressive harvesting of data that they were caught doing I cannot stand by and continue to use this extension. Shame.
