On an internet dominated by ads and corporate-run websites, Indie Wiki Buddy is a browser extension that helps you easily find and support independent wikis.
When you visit a wiki on Fandom or Fextralife, this extension will notify or automatically redirect you to quality independent wikis when they're available. Indie Wiki Buddy will also filter results across ten search engines (including Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo), to help guide you to click on results from independent wikis.
Indie Wiki Buddy supports over 650 independent wikis across over 20 languages. And you're in full control -- you can choose your experience wiki-by-wiki!
Indie Wiki Buddy also supports BreezeWiki, an affiliated service that renders Fandom wikis without ads or bloat. This helps give you a more enjoyable reading experience when an independent wiki isn't available.

Very useful. I was looking for a way to more easily reach official wikis since fandom always appears at the top of my search results. I'm glad I looked at the web store before messing with my browser settings.
Très bien ! Je recommande pour éradiquer les wikis Fandom, n'étant plus à jour ou juste ayant fuit Fandom pour ses conditions presque frauduleuses. Les wikis peuvent quitter Fandom mais ils ne sont pas autorisés à supprimer le wiki Fandom, c'est scandaleux.
This is very useful. Even if I don't know there's an independent wiki it takes me straight to it instead of having to scroll down the google search results to find it.
Does its job well! Very customizable. Love it. Just wish the search engine filter banner was optional.
Very nice extension. I wish I could disable the notification that it has hidden or replaced a link, I appreciate that it is there but I would like to hide it cause if I am replacing the link for a wiki I don't care about the fandom wiki.
I want to like this and appreciate the effort but the changelog prompt pops up surprisingly often at random times, takes over your browser focus regardless of what you're doing, and cannot be turned off. I thought extensions only updated when you first opened the browser but it just happened again while I was editing text in another tab. The interruptions are just too inconvenient to keep this extension installed. I wish there was an option to turn off the forced changelog tab focus each time it updates.
Functionality is fine, but you cannot turn off the pointless changelog that interrupts every time they update.
Fandom/Wikia is a scourge upon the internet
