AI 产品解读Sync Chrome bookmarks on Windows with Safari bookmarks on Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac) via iCloud
Keeps bookmarks in sync across Apple and Windows ecosystems so users can switch between devices without losing their saved bookmarks
1. User installs extension on Windows Chrome. 2. Extension connects to iCloud for Windows via native messaging (com.apple.bookmarks). 3. If iCloud for Windows is not installed, popup shows download prompt linking to Apple support. 4. If installed but not configured, popup prompts to enable Bookmarks in iCloud for Windows. 5. Extension listens to chrome.bookmarks events (created, removed, changed, moved, reordered) and relays changes to iCloud for Windows, which syncs to Apple devices.

- 目标用户
- Windows users who also use Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac) / Users who want their Chrome bookmarks synced with Safari bookmarks via iCloud
- Extension source is minified (background.js, popup.js) making some logic harder to trace, but key flows are clear.
- Cannot verify the native messaging host (com.apple.bookmarks) behavior from extension source alone—relies on iCloud for Windows desktop app being installed.

The extension is completely free with no premium tiers, subscription prompts, payment processing, or feature gating. The 'pro' keyword matches in static analysis are from Czech locale strings like 'iCloud pro Windows' (meaning 'iCloud for Windows'), not a paid tier. iCloud itself offers paid storage but the extension does not gate any functionality behind payment.

- The extension communicates with iCloud for Windows via native messaging (com.apple.bookmarks). The popup has a 'signinPage' state (popup.js case 1) that shows 'Enable Bookmarks in iCloud for Windows' and a button that launches iCloud for Windows via CmdLaunchiCP. The native iCloud app requires the user to be signed in with an Apple ID for bookmark sync to function. The extension itself does not implement its own login UI—it delegates authentication to the iCloud for Windows desktop application.
Cette application n'a jamais correctement fonctionné. La modification des signets lorsqu'elle est opéré sur Chrome Windows n'a aucun effet. Les signets sont à nouveau écrasés par la sauvegarde iCloud.
Seemed to work fine for a while, but as of the past month or so it won't sync old bookmarks from Safari/iCloud to Chrome and is creating tens of thousands of duplicate bookmarks across devices.
This extension caused bookmarks duplicating on my Google chrome.
This extension suffers from inadvertently creating duplicate bookmarks when trying to sync with safari bookmarks. I haven't been able to identify what causes this problem, but I'll spot duplicate bookmarks now and then in random folders with random links. I didn't like to way it looks and affected my usage with bookmarks, so I'm removing it altogether. I hope that Apple finds a way to fix this. I'll check back from time to time if this issue has been fixed.
Synced fine from Safari on Mac to Chrome on Windows; but as of the last month or two, it does not sync backwards. My Safari is stuck with an old iteration of my bookmarks while Chrome has the most up to date version. Guess I'm switching to Chrome permanently!
Tells me to install icloud when i already have it installed. Useless extension.

Been wondering for many and months why I keep finding my bookmarks out of order and thousands of duplicates cluttering up my tab bar. Got in the habit of using another extension to remove dupes, sort, then delete the old ones I had deleted before. Bad idea, I ended up deleting too many and messed up my old system. And are those ones coming back? of course not, that would be helpful. I have tried numerous solutions for how to stop the duplicating bookmarks problem, and nothing has worked. And then I see that this extension might be causing it. Look, if this is the culprit, I am happy to have found it. But also? I Am absolutely SEETHING with rage and loathing. I have definitely spent hundreds of hours into sorting, and lost years of work and research and social communities to this thing, cause I am definitely never remembering or recovering the lost sites on my own. Do not download this.
HORRIBLE. Mezcla todos los marcadores y los duplica.
Stay away from this... Glitched up out of nowhere. Started duplicating bookmarks when i tried to delete them. Then it suddenly deleted 70% of my bookmarks and messed up the names and adresses randomly for the other 30%. Tried removing every bookmark from all of my devices, turned off iCloud sync for Safari and reinstalling everything. Still glitched up after that.
